What is the Airbrush Quick Connect Coupling 1/8 BSP?

This metal quick coupling consists of a female connector and a male adapter that fit between your airbrush hose and airbrush gun. Thanks to the Quick Connect system you can disconnect and reconnect your airbrush instantly without constantly unscrewing the hose.

The coupling has a standard 1/8 BSP connection. This is the most commonly used size within the airbrush industry and is compatible with many airbrush systems and compressors including ProAiir equipment, Iwata, Harder & Steenbeck, Sparmax and other airbrush guns with a 1/8 connection.

The Quick Connect coupling automatically shuts off the airflow when the airbrush is disconnected. This helps reduce air pressure loss and prevents you from having to turn off the compressor every time you switch airbrush guns.

How do you use the Airbrush Quick Connect?

Screw the female part onto your airbrush hose and attach the male adapter to your airbrush gun. Then simply click the airbrush into the coupling.

Want to switch airbrushes? Pull back the ribbed sliding section and the airbrush releases immediately. Reconnecting is easy by pushing the adapter back into the coupling until it clicks into place.

You can optionally use a small amount of Teflon tape on the threads if you want maximum airtight sealing.

Fixing and maintenance

Check regularly that the O-ring stays clean and free from dirt or dried airbrush paint. This keeps the coupling working smoothly and helps prevent air leakage.

Clean the coupling if needed with a soft cloth and optionally use some airbrush cleaner to remove paint residue.
