What looks can you create with Snow White?

Snow White is the go-to shade for ageing characters, fairy-tale figures and winter looks. Think Snow Queen, old wizard, ghost, ice elf or Father Christmas beard. It also works brilliantly for adding white streaks to create an ageing effect on darker hair.

On dark or black hair, Snow White delivers a true snow-white result - more intense than Silver Grey. For a subtler transition, blend with Silver Grey or Dark Grey for more natural-looking highlights.

When should you choose Snow White over another shade?

Choose Snow White when your character needs pure, bright white hair - no grey tones, no warm undertones. Silver Grey reads more as "aged and wise". Snow White is bolder and more dramatic, making it the better choice for fairy-tale characters or horror looks.

For a blended effect - part white, part grey - apply Snow White to the ends and Silver Grey closer to the roots. That layered result looks surprisingly realistic under stage lighting.

How to use it

Apply Snow White to dry, styled hair. Use the mascara brush for individual strands, beard or eyebrows. For larger areas, pour a small amount into a dish and work with a brush or toothbrush. Build up in thin layers and allow each layer to dry before adding more - this gives you full control over the intensity.

Pro tip: Cover costumes and clothing before you start. The colour dries quickly but can transfer onto light fabrics when hair moves. On fine or porous hair, test a small section first - Snow White can penetrate more deeply than expected on lighter hair types.

Removing

Snow White washes out completely with warm water and regular shampoo. No special remover needed. Avoid using Ben Nye Hair Color on chemically treated hair or dyed extensions - the colour may not rinse out as easily.
